Fall Foliage in New England

If you're looking for a picture perfect vacation this fall, then now's the time to visit New England for it's impeccable  foliage.
One town I'd recommend is Kent, Connecticut.   This small town gets tourists from all over.  New Yorkers love it.  You have the little mom and pop shops, churches, unique restaurants and bed and breakfasts to lounge and dine.
Once you're in town, you can see why Kent is the #1 town in Connecticut for fall foliage.  All you have to do is look all around you and there you will see backdrops of tree-coated mountains.  You're literally standing in a perfect picture.

The highlight of this tiny town, I'd say, would be Kent falls.  Kent Falls sit on a direct route about 4.5 miles out from town. It's known for it's wooden covered bridge and beautifully layered waterfall (which you are able to walk in the midst).  The fall trickle in a crystal clear pond, filtering into a rocky stream.  I haven't seen water this clear since I left Washington state. You'll see families having picnics, kids playing Frisbee, and hikers ready to explore.

The foliage of New England is unlike any other, and is a perfect place to shop for unique gifts to bring back home to your friends and relatives.

For Those Of You Who Like To Shop, Try...

I know our company is for those who dislike shopping or those who don't have the time to.  But, for those of you who don't mind it or actually love it, I'd recommend the Hallmark store.

If you're looking for something different (non-Walmart), I'd say you ought to consider the Hallmark store.  Why?  Because it's in every state and in almost every mall.  Not only that, but like I said earlier, they have a lot of somewhat unique things.

You'll sometimes find beautiful handmade copper wind chimes, little glass trinkets, pink ribbon accessories, quality purses, and Willow Tree figurines. I have the Willow Tree figurines all over my house.  They make for great gifts.  Especially family gifts.

So, besides the basics above, you'll be surprised when I tell you the Hallmark store is selling FROGS! Yep, went to buy a few cards this past weekend and found on display  4x4 tanks with 2 [live] baby frogs!  Something cool for the kids!

Nerds Are Cool!

"Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one."-Bill Gates

I know this is completely off topic, but, nerds are cool!  I, myself, am not one, but had an admiration for them in high school and still, til' this day. Popular kids were boring to me. It always fascinated me how the smart kids could ace every test and break down the meaning of a certain subject or topic upon request.  Or even how fast they can learn a language! sheesh!

Anyway, nerds are really cool!  And if you are a nerd, kudos!

Celebrites Hate Shopping Too!

You'd think that any millionaire would love to shop, since they have the "dough" for it, especially celebrities.  But apparently, this isn't so.  Surprisingly,  pop diva, Madonna, boy band singer, Nick Jonas, "Get Me To the Greek" star Russell Brand, and actress Maria Menounos all say they "hate shopping!".

Hey, you like what you like.  Right?
